Do the thing you fear and the death of fear is certain.
— Mark Twain.
Fear comes in many shapes and forms. When its obvious, we can call it out by name and our chances of controlling it are high. However, when it hides itself in a slight unsettling feeling for which you feel unsure of the cause, fear can be a most destructive and evasive thief.
Many people, especially fear types, run away from things that scare them, constantly trying to relieve themselves of this feeling. What we really need to do in these cases is move towards it, dare it to show itself so it can be disintegrated like a vampire in the sunlight. The most frequent response I met this feeling with in the past, was combing through my day, week or life to find something that I did wrong or that could hurt me and must be what is causing the feeling. I love the day when I learned from Bob Proctor that this is a negative vibration and there are a few specific ways to deal with my paradigm.
I’m still not perfect, but today when this discomfort tries to choke me and trick me into wasting my precious minutes, I waste little time scanning the scary possibilities in my mind. Instead, I feel the fear and go right to injecting positive messages.
